JOEL MUKADI
“As a kid growing up in different nations of Africa and the Caribbean, one reality that I quickly became akin to, was the concept of change. Change is that thing we all dread so much, yet all experience on a constant basis. Through my lived experiences, I have come to embrace change and understand that it is the only constant in life. In the embracing of change, I found that, often, what lies on the other side of change is an opportunity for growth and a better-lived reality in the long run. It is this love for change and people that drove me to complete my triple major in Politics & Governance, Philosophy, and Industrial Sociology at the University of Cape Town. Pushing for positive and meaningful long-term change is what makes this project so special to me. Dealing with the epidemic of Youth Unemployment is truly a change that I seek to be a part of and commit myself to.”
